Today, we walked almost 2 miles to Delco Park. Once we were there, we met with an author and an artist and made these things called "Metots". A metot is a drawing of what a combination of 3 different animals would look like. We did an activity with them where we picked 3 adjectives to describe ourselves, then pick 3 different animals - 1 animal that fits with each adjective. Once we had these animals, we made our own Metots. Mine was a combination of a tiger, which was related to strength, a hedgehog, which was related to being funny and a rat, which represented being brave. I tried to draw it, but you couldn't tell that there was supposed to be a tiger with it. On the back of that page, we wrote about where our animals habitats would be, what their predators and preys would be and just general things about how it lives.
After we finished this activity, we were given a few hours of free time to go around the park. A couple of friends and I walked around the pond at Delco. I also tried to do some front-flips on the ground but didn't quite land on my feet, but I did get close. Once we were finished exploring the parks, we walked back to school. Overall, this day went pretty quick and I had a lot of fun.
